About Mitcham Rhythmic Gymnastic Club

Mitcham Rhythmic Gymnastic Club was established in Adelaide in 1979.

Mitcham is a not for profit club and is managed by a group of dedicated volunteers and accredited coaches.

What is Rhythmic Gymnastics:

Rhythmic Gymnastics is a combination of ballet, dance, acrobatics and gymnastic movements. It can be performed individually or in groups. Gymnasts are required to demonstrate artistry, fitness, coordination and balance whilst working with the apparatus; rope, hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon.
Rhythmic gymnastics develops hand-eye coordination, balance, strength and promotes self expression and creativity. All routines include fundamental body movements, dance steps, pre-acrobatic movements and are performed to music.
